That is a pretty impressive truck but I must tell you that I don't understand this web site at all. I've been trying for about a year to get out of expediting why would anyone actually glamorize it? I got suckered into a job driving for a broker a couple of years ago and my life has been miserable every since. What is so
special about getting called at 2 in the morning to run 15 hours without sleep, risking falling asleep at the wheel, a log book ticket, a speeding ticket and most of the time an over weight ticket just to get treated like a dog by the receiver? Am I missing something here?
I have also noticed that the faster you get it there the longer you have to wait to get unloaded. What is the point? The pay is all right but I feel that my health and my life is worth more then 3 skids of auto parts. They can take their emergency freight and keep it!

Dear Steve, Thank you for visiting the Expresstrucking.com website. I am glad you wrote to us but I am sad to hear of your disappointing
experiences with this profession. Unfortunately many people experience the same things as you described. This is the main purpose of the Expresstrucking.com website, not necessarily to glamorize this industry but to present the positive opportunities and yet the negative impacts and financial risks of venturing into this business.
I do want to stress that you are 100% right, no job, piece of equipment or other commodity is worth more than your life, your heath and everyone’s safety
and as a good business strategy it is best to do business with those who believe in the same principals. If you stay within the acceptable business practices of your profession you should not encounter any adverse penalties and by dealing with companies or individuals whose expectations are within the limitations of the industry guidelines you will not be put in an unfair predicament.
On the first page of Business Strategies section you will find a fair description
of the sacrifices made in pursuit of this career. We strongly believe that those who do enter into this volatile profession deserve recognition for their dedication and commended for taking a chance at a business venture. It is our wish that all these entrepreneurs reach their goals and the level of success they are striving for. Our insight on how to achieve success in any business, is that knowledge and resources are the most valuable assets of any business and the greatest liability is to
yourself by giving nothing short of your best effort. It works for some but not for all and success is when you can accept the outcome and move on.
The expresstrucking.com website offers a neutral presentation of related industry information which hopefully many will find helpful in their venture into this business. We wish you the best in what ever you decide to do and if we can be of any help please let us know, we will certainly try our best. Thank you again for your input.

Thank-you for your response. I have no problems with the sacrifices you described in your web site. Last week I turned down a load that would have required me to drive 18 hours without sleep ( two
loads in total) since then I have been treated like an outcast, getting only short runs. I know it is not because of my work ethics because before I started to refuse they had nothing but praise about me. My question is, do you know of any companies that do not force dispatch in the Detroit area?
