Why don't you see more Flatbeds in this line of work ?

answer your question there are a few flatbeds hauling expedited freight but keep in mind the largest portion of your expedited freight is special commodities like electronics, lasers, hospital supplies, machinery, line-set automotive and things that require special handling benefiting from the enclosed van bodies of vans and straight trucks. Now there are hot shot companies out there that do specialize in the flatbeds and the freight requiring such equipment. The large motors, airplane engines and other bulk items require the flatbed service. Landstar Inway and Hot shots Express are two companies I know of which specialize in flatbeds.
