Dear john, in response to your question of how much each size unit will make keep in mind there are many variables which can make a big difference as far as potential, here's an industry average: B.....75 cents per all miles C.........90 cents per all miles D.......98 cents per all miles E .......1.05 per all miles. If you use those rates times the miles you expect to drive whether team or single you can get an idea of how much income you will generate. Keep in mind you must realize your expenses will account for approximately 60% of your gross revenue. While you may be able to see large cash flow you cann't count it all as profit. Choosing a company is not easy. there's pro's and con's to all. you should base your decision on how you want to operate. Some companies have almost complete control of your operations while others allow you the freedom of running your own business. If you want to enjoy being your own boss you need to find a company that allows you to make your own decisions. if your new to the industry and feel you need full direction and supervision you will need to find a company that basically will give you your loads, directions to facilities and send you to specific areas to wait for loads. Ask drivers from various companies to find out which company you feel will be best for your needs. Good luck, and be sure to learn as much as you can before you step into this industry. Being prepared is the biggest key to success!
